How our Essences are made

Our Flower Essences are made by selecting flowers that are in full bloom and placing them on the surface of a bowl of purified water, at midday, in full sunlight, for several hours. The Ultraviolet rays of the sun act as a catalyst that transfers the unique vibratory signature of the flower into the water, effectively endowing the water with the life-force energy and therapeutic properties of the flower. This process is often referred to as the Solarisation Process, as first derived by Dr. Edward Bach.

Our Gem Essences are made by placing the finest quality gemstone in a bowl of water, under the direct light of the full moon, for several hours. The astrological sign present at the time of full moon is also highly relevant in the making of the Gem Essence. The rays of the moon act as a catalyst that transfers the unique vibratory signature of the gem into the water, effectively endowing the water with the life-force energy and therapeutic properties of the gem.

Here At Findhorn Flower Essences
The conscious intent of the person making the essence, and the energetic influences of the environment both greatly affect the quality of an essence being made. For example, with regard to flower essences, Marion only selects flowers growing in a pure landscape, away from pollutants, in prime condition and at the peak of their flowering.

She will then sit in meditation before the flowering plant and receive guidance as to the qualities and healing properties expressed by that plant. Marion will also interpret the cosmic energies and extra-planetary forces in play at the time of creating the essence, in order to transfer the highest resonance and healing qualities of the unique vibratory signature from the flower to the water and, in turn, to the people consuming the essence.
