Health is not just having a body free from pain, but is a state of being where the whole body is in a state of harmony.
Flower essences work on the subtle levels of our human anatomy. They assist in aiding the etheric and subtle bodies to deal with the conditions that predispose people to disease, the mental and emotional effects of illness, by balancing and strengthening our psycho-spiritual health and wellbeing.
Machaelle Small Wright, who developed the Perelandra Essences (and who attended the Essence of Findhorn programme in the 1970’s) describes essences as “oral solutions taken to balance and stabilize the body’s electrical system and its circuits. They are also taken for maintaining the overall strength and balance of the electrical system”, thereby halting the domino effect that leads to physical illness.
Health is not just having a body free from pain, but is a state of being where the whole body is in a state of harmony. It is a state of consciousness that conditions the subtle anatomy and thereby the physical body.
Disease is a disorder of structure or function in the body. It is physical illness that is not the direct result of physical injury. It is rather, a physical manifestation of symptoms in the body indicative of an unease (or dis-ease) experienced in the etheric body as a lack of harmony. It is a fact of nature and a useful warning system.
Dr Edward Bach said “health depends on being in harmony with our souls”. Flower essences work “to raise our vibrations and open up our channels for the reception of our soul/spiritual self, to flood our natures with the particular virtues and to wash out from us the faults which were causing them, they are able like beautiful music or any gloriously uplifting thing which gives us inspiration, to raise our very natures and bring us nearer to ourselves and by the very act bring us peace and relieve suffering. They cure not by attacking dis-ease but by flooding our bodies with beautiful vibrations of our higher nature in the presence of which dis-ease melts as snow in the sunshine.” Dr. Edward Bach (1931) form his book Heal thyself.
Disease is the effect in the body of a lack of harmony with our “true self”, and unless the cause is addressed and/or transformed, the effects will persist. The lack of harmony is brought about by a resistance of the personality to the guidance our true self that speaks to us through our intuition, our insights and instincts, in whichever way is easiest for us to interpret.
According to the 1st Law of Healing “All disease is the result of inhibited soul life … “The soul is the healer within the form and true spiritual healing comes about through the evocation and down pouring of the soul’s energy through the etheric vehicle sweeping it into a new condition if brilliance, thus conditioning directly the dense physical form.” Alice A. Flower essences act as catalysts that inspire and allow changes in our perceptions, attitudes and behaviour, increasing our capacity for insight, personal growth and development. They support and enhance the body’s vital life-force energy, restoring harmony as they influence the subtle anatomy of the etheric body, transforming emotions and beliefs that hinder our ability to fully take hold of our life and destiny.
On p16 of the Handbook there is a chapter called ‘Magic in the Garden’ which goes into the attunement process and co-operation with nature. This gives a deeper insight into how the essences are made and the way in which they work at mind-body-spirit level.
